Brief

Well written songs that sound authentic to the genre about love and falling in love needed by a top publisher in LA who has direct access to shows that need songs on a daily basis

Listen to Current Indie artists and blend your style with that as the songs need to be authentic to the vocalist.
Listen but don’t copy these artists and songs

2:30-3:00 min songs needed
SPECIAL NOTE - Uptempo songs needed more than slow ballads

Session 1 - Steve’s Tips On Collaborating

Session 1

Steve's Tips on Collaborating:

1- Always have an idea or 2 in your back pocket
2- Never be precious with your idea
If no one wants to use your idea … great! You get to keep it for another write
3- Try and come up with an arrangement ASAP
It’s always easier to tweak a full song than a nothing to tweak - placeholders are your best friend
4- Always have set jobs
Who is the producer, who is the singer, who does the music? It’s ok to cross over just be clear up front with it
5- Be very careful stepping outside of your job
Make sure you let the other person know that these are just ideas but it’s their call
6- Write the song to the vocalist
